July 25, 2009 - Goddess Gathering - Los Angeles

The July Gathering was nothing short of transformational. The topic was "Claim Your Goddessness!". The ladies were asked to share reasons why they felt the were not Goddesses. We talked about things that have happened in our lives (or that are still happening) that cause us to question our "Goddessness".

The exercise for this topic was that each Goddess was given one minute to powerfully proclaim to the group why she IS a Goddess. They were asked to find something wonderful about themselves and tell the group why they are a Goddess in that area. It wasn't easy for some of the women to speak of themselves in that way, but they were supported and encouraged by the group.

We then did another exercise that allowed all of the women in attendance to see themselves and the other women in the room in a whole new light. We GOT that we really are all the same. From that realization came a better understanding of ourselves and other women. It was beautiful to behold.

Thanks to all of the courageous women who shared and declared their Goddessness so wonderfully!

Our "empowerment" assignment was to go on a "Goddess Date" with one of your Goddess sisters. The goal is to laugh, talk, share and get to know each other better. I encourage you to have a Goddess Date with a special woman in your life. You may be surprised at what you learn.

Childcare Now Available At The Goddess Gathering!

We are happy to announce that childcare is now provided at the Goddess Gathering.

We have secured a licensed childcare professional to take care of the children while the Gathering is taking place. Geney Warner from "Geney's Little Blessings, Curriculum Based Family & Child Care" will be taking care of the children in a room right next door to where the Gathering is taking place. They will receive a light snack and be entertained by such things as educational DVD's and/ or movie, story time, and game playing.

The cost is $20 per child. This will cover your child's care by the licensed professional, a snack and entertainment for the duration of the Gathering, (1:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.). Please note, there must be a minimum of 3 children to be able to provide this service. Goddess Moms may contact our Event Coordinator, Ailia Coley-McKinney, directly to reserve a spot for their child/children at events@tomikosgoddessgathering.com. Please be prepared to provide the name and age of each child and any special instructions or dietary needs.

A minimum of 3 children are needed to confirm Ms. Warner's services. We require all requests be received by August 15, 2009 for our August 22nd Gathering.
